Title A name given to the resource CHNM Staff for Office Shuffle Date A point or period of time associated with an event in the lifecycle of the resource June 5, 2009 Description An account of the resource To plan for the acquisition of a bunch of new office space there was a need to reshuffle the staff to make best use of the office space. So, we ended up making a big foam-core backed map and a set of little models of people to place to work through how to best organize the space. Each of the colors corresponds to different work groups in CHNM. This picture shows those little figures. To make it easier to identify, pink is education, green is public projects, blue is research projects, yellow was more core operations and orange was the Omeka team. At the front of each row is the then respective heads of those divisions. Title A name given to the resource "Robot Room," 2009 Description An account of the resource When the Center first moved to Research 1, staff was divided among three unconnected office spaces on the 4th floor. In 2009, CHNM acquired the corner office space that had been occupied by a robot lab. With this new space, CHNM's staff could finally work in one contiguous office. Nicknamed the "robot room" for its former occupants, this large open area gave the Center enough space to have multiple group-work tables. This photo was taken soon after the Center moved into the "robot room."
